Reading Is Good For You

Book Reviews, Literary News, and Thoughts on Life

North and South

I finished watching this movie last night and it made me bawl like a little girl — I don’t normally cry at movies (at least not when others are around to see), but people were dying left and right! This scene was certainly a bright spot in an otherwise melancholy (though very good) movie. Don’t watch if you don’t want to be spoiled.

Now I just need to read the book, which of course my library doesn’t own. I can read it on Project Gutenburg, since it’s in the Public Domain, but their typed up version is not very easy on the eyes.
