Create Your Debut YA Cover

Shamelessly riding on the coattails of Create Your Debut Fantasy Novel Cover (which, incidentally, shamelessly rode the coattails of the Create Your Debut Album meme that made the rounds on Facebook), it’s time to do something for the Teens. Above is my debut YA cover. The rules had to be changed for this sort of cover to ensure the appropriate YA cover clichés were represented:

What will yours look like?

1 – Go to “Fake Name Generator” or click

The name that appears is your author name.

2 – Go to “Random Word Generator” or click

The word listed under “Random Verb” is your title.

3 – Go to “FlickrCC” or click

Type your title into the search box. The first photo that contains a person is your cover.

4 – Use Photoshop, Picnik, or similar to put it all together. Be sure to crop and/or zoom in.

5 – Post it to your site along with this text.

Got this fun one from 100 Scope Notes. My cover is probably not the greatest, but this is my first stint in photo editing, so don’t be hard on me. I must say that Picnik is quite fun. Give it a try!
